2010 Australian Open Third Round

Justine HeninThe third round of the 2010 Australian Open will begin on Friday with plenty of action taking place on the courts in Melbourne.

All eyes will be on the Rod Laver Arena, as number two seed Dinara Safina, kicks off the next round of action against Britain’s Elena Baltacha.

Favourite of the women’s to go far in the 2010 Australian Open, Justine Henin, will grace the Hisense Arena taking on Russian Alisa Kleybanova, followed later in the day by fellow Belgian Kim Clijsters.

In the men’s tournament, Andy Roddick plays Feliciano Lopez for a spot in the fourth round, as will the Argentine world number four Juan Martin Del Potro at the Rod Laver Arena.

Starting the night matches for the 2010 Australian Open is returning champion Rafael Nadal.

Another favourite for the title, Andy Murray, takes on Florent Serra for a place in the fourth round of the 2010 Australian Open.

Ending the play for Friday at the Rod Laver Arena is women’s number three Svetlana Kuznetsova who plays German Angelique Kerber to carry on her campaign for the title.

Fellow Russian, Maria Kirilenko, who has already caused an upset by beating Maria Sharapova, plays Italy’s Roberta Vinci for a spot in the next round of the 2010 Australian Open.
